Independence Day observed by LRPRA on Friday, July 3

The office will be closed for the holiday on Friday, July 3. Teleworking procedures will resume from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Monday, July 6. Teleworking procedures will continue until further notice. Thank you for your patience. The staff would like to wish everyone a safe weekend.


Reserve Ridgewood Pool lap lanes & Canterbury swim zones

On Wednesday, July 1, Ridgewood Pool opened its lap lanes to the community for fitness purposes (not suitable for non-swimmers/young children). Sign-up for a reserved slot is required 1 day in advance between 9am-2pm. Come Monday, July 6, Canterbury Woods will be opening swim zones recreational groups of up to 10 people at at time. Board of Directors meeting July 14

Tuesday, July 14 | 7:00pm // The LRPRA Board will meet at Tall Oaks Community Center to vote on the 2021 Proposed budgets. For virtual login information to listen in on the meeting, email Doug Milburn, Director of Administration, at dmilburn@lakeridgeva.com by 4:00pm (EST) July 14.

COVID-19 Emergency Housing Assistance Program

The Emergency Housing Assistance Program will be provided to all eligible households who reside in Prince William County and cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, who have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 with a one-time or short-term, (no more than three consecutive months payments) of emergency mortgage, rental and utility housing assistance to prevent homelessness. 5 PWC libraries to reopen with limited service on July 6  

"Limited service" will include the ability to browse and check out the library’s physical collection, use available computers, and use common spaces and Wi-Fi inside the library.  Visit their website for libraries that are opening and how to visit those libraries.


Fireworks safety during Coronavirus

Although Prince William County permits the use of some fireworks, restrictions apply and for good reason. Chief Tim Keen, of the Prince William County Fire and Rescue System, encourages residents to leave fireworks demonstrations to trained professionals by enjoying larger aerial fireworks shows usually provided in the District, Maryland and Virginia (DMV); due to COVID-19, most of this year’s public displays have been canceled, link.
