County News: Recycling Greenery + Flu Shot Info
Curb Your Tree + Wreaths for Recycling: After all the holiday festivities are over, give your Christmas tree, wreath, and other cut greenery another life as compost and mulch. Simply remove all ornaments, decorations, tinsel, nails, and the tree stand and set the empty tree and greenery at the curb for pickup as a part of yard waste collection, during the first two full weeks of January. Read more about how to do this properly in the County release.
Flu Shot Info: The VA Health Department is urging Virginians to get the flu vaccine for optimal protection this holiday season. While the flu season may vary from year to year, cases often peak in January or February and continue through May.
