Board News: announcing newly elected members, taking applications for recent vacancy
Newly Elected Board Members: Congratulations to Jean M. Lohier, Janet Foote and Christopher Berry (pictured above, left to right) who will be serving on the Board of Directors for LRPRA for the next 3 years. Applications for Vacancy: Due to a recent resignation, a vacancy exists on the Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association Board of Directors. Homeowners who are interested in serving the community and are in good standing (no delinquencies or architectural violations) are requested to send an e-mail with a cover letter and resume/biography by February 28th to the Chief Operating Officer/General Manager. The term for this position lasts approximately 1 year and expires February 2021. Under the Association’s governing documents (By-Laws Article IV, Section 3), the Board will vote to fill this vacancy at the meeting on March 10th. Looking to get involved in some local activities and meet some neighbors? Come and see what clubs and classes the Association has to offer on February 15th from 1:00-3:00pm at the Canterbury Woods Community Center (12184 Chaucer Ln.). See more and the list of clubs and classes on our website. Registration for Spring Sports, which closes February 28th, will be also available at the event.

Tours available for 2020-2021 preschool
Lake Ridge Creative Preschool is one of the Association’s crowning sponsored programs. State-licensed and competitively priced, the program continues to serve as a staple of the Lake Ridge community by providing a quality learning experience and preparing our 3-4 year olds to enter elementary school with confidence. Tours can be set up with the Preschool Director weekdays at 2:30pm, 3:00pm or 3:30pm. Registration is open exclusively to Association Members right now and is offered at a special discount, providing prime space until it opens to the general public on March 2nd. Covenants: Plastic trash bag use
Residents and owners are reminded that plastic trash bags are not to be used for placing trash out for weekly pick-ups. This is a clear violation of Association rules and regulations, and is subject to enforcement by our Covenants Department. Besides being prone to opening by rodents and birds, the bags are unsightly and in some cases unsanitary. Your continued attention to this matter is much appreciated.

Don’t forget that your next quarterly assessment is due March 1st! Sign up for special payment reminder notifications through text or email today. Please mail your payment in a timely manner that is received by the March 1st due date. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.
